Today's Clinical Laboratory being the main instrument to the Medical Profession for the correct diagnosis, and patient therapy, must be able to produce high-quality Analytical Test Results in the shortest possible time, with precision, accuracy, and with the minimum possible cost. In order to meet the expected needs of high-quality results, for both Doctor and Patient alike, we the management of YML, have accredited our laboratory with the ISO 15189 (certificate number 405).
Business Particulars
Dr. Nicos Yiannouka established YML as a full service clinical laboratory company. Its core activities cover the following areas:
a) Medical Diagnostic Services.
The core business of YML is the provision of diagnostic analyses in clinical biochemistry, microbiology, virology, immunology, toxicology, parasitology, infectious diseases, allergy and other tests relevant to medicine.
b) Veterinary Diagnostic Services.
YML offers diagnostic analyses in veterinary, biochemistry, microbiology, virology, immunology, toxicology, parasitology, infectious diseases and other tests relevant to veterinary medicine.
c) Food Analyses and Related Services.
We have formed a collaboration with NutriLab Cyprus and offer the following services. We verify the quality and safety of foodstuffs, water and various consumers items, the authenticity of product content labels as well as carrying out specialist research and consulting projects such as environmental impact studies (ISO 17025).
In addition to operating a state of the art clinical laboratory in the commercial centre of Nicosia YML provides a courier service for the collection of samples from anywhere within the Republic of Cyprus. YML also runs a voluntary information service for medical practitioners and its customers. The objective of this service is to provide regular updates on matters of common interest such as the proper procedure for patient preparation, sample collection for the different tests, normal ranges, the availability of new tests and of course the familiarisation of patients with the clinical significance of test results in relation to preventive medicine.
Business data
Almost 90 per cent of YML's revenues are generated from the provision of diagnostic clinical laboratory services directly to individual customers.
